District 5 Fire Chief – Arnold Baker
Arnold Baker became a member of Chelan County Fire District 5 in 1986, promoted to Assistant Chief in 1990. Appointed to Chief in 1998. Arnold is IFSAC certified to Fire Officer II. Arnold remains active in North Central Washington Fire Chiefs Association for Chelan and Douglas Counties serving as President from 2003 to 2014, a Washington Fire Chiefs Association member, and an International Fire Chiefs member.
Administrative Assistant, Dist. Secretary – Reggie Trusel
Reggie Trusel is the Administrative Assistant for the Chelan County Fire
District 5. She has a background of 30 years in managing and over a decade of experience in the administrative field. After growing up in the Manson area, she lived in Oregon for a short time and later moved to Big Island Hawaii for 23 years, where she opened her own import businesses. She is excited to be back and living in the area with her husband and daughter. Reggie is honored to be apart of the department staff and working for the wonderful community of Manson.
Training Officer, Volunteer Coordinator – Karen Sargeant
Karen Sargeant (Sarge) is the Training Officer and Volunteer Coordinator for the Chelan County Fire District 5. She earned a Bachelors Degree from West Virginia University in 1981 and a Masters Degree from the University of Montana in 1997. Sarge taught Junior High/Middle School for almost 12 years, worked as a State Park Ranger in Idaho for 7 years and changed direction to work in Montana as the City of Polson’s Parks and Recreation Director for 12 years. Sarge brings 21 years of experience as a first responder in the fire service and search and rescue. She is a certified public information officer and is certified as a Fire Instructor 1. She looks forward to developing effective training programs that will also attract and retain qualified volunteers to our District.
